#WritcoPoemPrompt17
Let me step into the warmth of your arms,
Let me bask in the sunshine of your smile,
Let me hold you a moment longer, mother mine...
Hold me strong but hold me free
I am you but a little bit me
You raised me up a little too soon
I am not prepared for demons and doom
Hide me in your bosom please
What can I give you when I still leech
I am burden I am broke
I can offer you nothing but these words amok
My world began with you
And you only know me through and through
And I think this bond between us keeps me centered
and maybe anchored too.

And if I can't even write a few lines about mom, about our love for each other, then maybe I should quit writing at all.
