A dark cloud hangs over me forever more.
For my actions I must accept this consequence,
The longing to see you grows more and more.

I spend my days regretting what I have done
That has taken you out of my arms so strong.
My love for you is so powerful and real,
And without it I truly do not belong.

My heart is heavy my eyes full of tears,
Without you there is only emptiness near.
No matter how hard I reach out and try,
I’m left standing alone in my fear.

My punishment is not something I foresee,
The cost of loving you is only love.
And in this world of emptiness and loneliness,
An eternity without you is my punishment.
