"It's been 30 minutes, am gonna have to let you go", the counselor says and I blink,
There was a pause as I tried to accept what I heard and what to think,
Called the suicide hotline for some empathy, but there's a limit in what they choose to give,
So I apologized, thanked her for her time, hung up, searched again for a reason to live,
The intrusive thoughts loved that, they got louder, and I cower,
The solitude I once found some peace in now gives them more power,
I get it, we all have lives to live, silly me...
