Why We Say Goodbye
Why we say goodbye is because we know
No hello is guaranteed & yet our needs
Bleed through from our purest emotions
Take these deep seeded devotions to love
To b loved is really all we want in the end
And friends too, one can never have one
To many friends yet losing just one feels
Like the most lonely feeling, like stealing
A significant part of who we become
What becomes of us is so insignificant
This magnificent pain won't go so soon
Instead it looms, lingers & never leaves
But you have left and that's not right
lastnight you said g'night & not goodbye
My reply was goodnight and not g'bye
So why today do I have to say
Rest In Peace
