I sit here with crumbs
of a blueberry muffin
before me, an unopened
can of Starbucks coffee -
I hear the birds reminding me
life keeps going on in the heart
break.
Blue skies still show the expanse of possibility -
like an open ended prayer -
come find me in this silence
where my tears have spilled
forth salt, left me empty.
