Distant love
Love was once so near,
But now it's gone so far,
The emptiness inside me,
Is like a deep, dark scar.
I miss the way we laughed,
And held each other tight,
But now I'm all alone,
In the darkness of the night.
I long to feel your touch,
And hear your voice so clear,
To see your eyes light up,
And feel your love so dear.
But though you may be gone,
I'll keep the flame alive,
And pray that we'll be together,
Once again, side by side.
For love is never truly lost,
It's just a journey we must take,
And though it may seem distant now,
Our love will never break.
So I'll hold onto hope,
And keep my heart full of love,
For I know that one day soon,
We'll be reunited above.
