I overheard my mother praying
I listened more carefully, and
She was praying for me
I overheard my mother praying, for me.

She prayed,"Lord! I pray for my daughter;
I know that when she loves/like somebody
Family, friends, relatives, neighbours or someone special
She tends to give her all, risking
all that she have to offer.

I'm not asking you to change this nature of hers
She was born that way, you created her this way
I'm thankful for blessing me with a child
who is older than she actually is

Lord, all I want and ask for; is for you to protect her
Make her wise enough not to be fooled
May you bless her with the brightest future
May she always continue to walk tall with prayers and hope, Amen."
