Words that may somehow make me spry
Light up this life like the 4th of July
Before it slowly withers and eventually die

Sitting here in the light of day
Waiting for your text as long as it may
This feeling of anxiety is a small price to pay
If it means reading what you have to say

Please answer me before I go to bed
Because I want to know what's on your head
You know I'll give you anything that you needed
Even if it's living a life without me in it

I made a mistake but so what?
Would you throw everything we had just like that?
I tried texting you 'cause you don't want to chat
I want you to know that I love you, but

I guess it's the end, but I still don't know why
Because I still want you to be mine and that's not a lie
I know we can still do this, you and I
I can prove that to you if you could just let me try
