Sweet Death
It was some minutes after supper,

Grandma knelt down to pray as usual -

She never shouted in her prayer -

She'd hum and read her prayer manual.

5.We knelt down too,

She didn't hum as always;

She might have had a flu -

She also did no manual says.

10.She was quiet on her knees;

She was praying in her heart,

We all thought she was at ease,

So we left into our own hut.

15.When the sun appeared next,

We were up and went into her hut:

She was still down kneeling in rest -

Praying, her mouth and heart shut.

20.We looked at Granny,

We called her name out,

We thought it was so funny,

Before we started crying our eyes out.

25.Granny was our only guardian,

The only one we could tease,

Now to us she's an alien,

May her soul rest in peace.
