Mean Words
Now you're just a man I used to know
and I am just a woman free to go
I didn't ask for it. I didn't ask for you to leave or stay. I only asked you to consider. Rethink mean things you would say.
Mean words are so destructive.
They hurt you through and through.
Just saying babe, I'm sorry.
Sometimes it just won't do.
You didn't value me enough.
To watch your hurtful words.
And so you think that it's okay.
but I think you're absurd.
I'd rather take a slap on the wrist.
Then a stabb deep in my heart.
But I need you to remember this.
