THE NIGHT
I was tired of running,
And now wanted to rest,
No matter how much I run,
It all just seemed to go waste.
I glanced back at the path I came,
And found , it had already faded,
The night which I was always afraid of,
Seemed to have already invaded.
I decided to stop running,
And stand their and face,
The night slowly crept,
And took me in its dark embrace.
Providing a faint light of hope,
Assuringly shone the moon,
As slowly the night made its way,
In its dark black shoon .
It's dark...
And now wanted to rest,
No matter how much I run,
It all just seemed to go waste.
I glanced back at the path I came,
And found , it had already faded,
The night which I was always afraid of,
Seemed to have already invaded.
I decided to stop running,
And stand their and face,
The night slowly crept,
And took me in its dark embrace.
Providing a faint light of hope,
Assuringly shone the moon,
As slowly the night made its way,
In its dark black shoon .
It's dark...
