Coffee Date
I pour my love into your mug and watch it run down the edges of the table
I clean off all the filth it spread onto the wood, rinsing everything with a raggedy towel but before tossing it away i let it linger in my hands,
I watch it run through my fingers and drip onto the ground

I am nothing but my love
You tell me next time I don’t need to clean behind myself when it spills,
You tell me it may overflow and yours may too.
But I already know this.
I’m only worried that one day your mug will break,
And I’ll be stuck with my love all alone with no one to drink it
