Midnight
Sitting by the window on a cold breezy night,
I felt a sudden urge to go back home.
To my mother who loves me so dearly,
as for the first time I've felt this alone.
I want to go back to my sisters and laugh with them,
To them, I am so strong and bright.
I don't want to remember this adulthood,
just go back where my heart felt light.
I wish to massage my father's head again,
while I listened him talking to me.
The tales of his childhood and stories,
while he spoke, in my mind, I could see.
I wish to rewind every moment
when they asked me to be strong and bold,
As this cold night slowly fades away
into a day, a new hope it might unfold.
