let's go back to the days
when we were filled
with childlike innocence
back then our hearts were pure
never holding on to a grudge
let's go back to the days
were it was all sunshine,
bubbles and butterflies

let's go back to the days
were we truely lived
recklessly, unafraid of uncertainty
then when laughter was genuine
and hate speech was unknown
let's go back to the days
were we shared together,
united and at peace

let's go back to the days
were we valued life
were we saw our real nature
just human beings
not country, colour or creed
let's go back to the days
were we had sympathy,
humanity and love.
