"Perspective West"
"Perspective West"

Everyone asks me my perspective.
On my view of life out west
Let's say an "interesting journey"
Since I've started this whole quest.
I've lived a lot of places.
From the South to the North
And everywhere in between
Mostly up through the East Coast
During my cross country trip.
In my four-door sedan.
I have to say out here is.
Mother Nature's most beautiful land.
North West people though
Are an interesting type of breed
I've seen everything from a red-neck hot tub.
To a lot of homeless in need.
You can see in the distance.
Snow peaked mountain tops
All summer long.
And you have to see rising sun
In the early morning dawn.
The North West has magnificant birds.
Everywhere the eye can see.
Maybe you'll see an Eagle sitting alone
On a stump or fallen tree
The Moose in the forest
Standing their ground with pride.
Just be careful not to honk
In case he won't let you by
The humming birds remind me of back home
With colors so pretty and bright And the sky gets so dark that
You can see millions of stars at night
But look down on the side of the road
You'll never see a soda can
You get five cents back
For every one that you have in hand
Just enough to buy a pack of cigarettes
Or a couple gallons of gas
Returning cans for so little
Is more a pain in the ass
I'm ALL about recycling
And saving the Planet
Anything Mother Earth gives me
I try not to take for granted
Can you imagine ALL the people that
I've HAD to have met along the way
You never WHO you'll meet
Going through out your day
I could say I'm a tumbleweed in the wind
Going where the breeze blows
A hundred miles down
With a million more to go
