Having lived in the forest
with marauding beasts
I seek a place to hide

Darts and arrows shot at me
Roars and screeches
Eyes so peircing
I could fall

Trapped and handicapped
Nothing on my radar
Stuck in place
A burden to embrace
Hopeless and a saboteur
Limitations my only view
A sight I'm trapped in too

I yearn for something new
But all I see is gloom
Nothing good is in my sphere
I'm drowning in my fear

I need a change
I need some hope
I need something to help me cope
I need a chance to break free
To be the me that I can be

I need to find my way out
I need a reason to shout
I need to find a light
To break the hold of this plight

I need to find my power
And change this desperate hour
I need to find my strength
