Allies!
A twitch escaped my lips after they left,
Wasn't long before my chubby cheeks shone,
And my eyes sparkled.
I was happy.

Though I hadn't walked down that road,
I knew the contours,
How slippery the grass are, on the lit up meadows,
And where the tree roots are ,to cling onto for dear life while slivering, gropping in between the tree trunks.

Though I hadn't walked down that path,
I knew how to tread.
I scribbled them in my hippocampus, the tales, the best and the worst, from my friends.
I engraved their smiles and loud carefree laughters in my heart.

Though they hadn't walked down this path,
They knew the light and the dusk of the routes I took,
The hurdles and the vaulting inspite of the faults.
They could see the world through my eyes,
And the lens of their realities and truth,
More often than not, precipitating my illusion,
And I had to jot down notes.
I was learning.

We shared ...
We laughed and lived.
The grace of "together."
The beauty of friendship.
