A Better Place

Our hearts are broken and the tears, they come
Sometimes all day and night
Just struggling is what we do
At times with no end in sight!

Losing a child is so devastating
It's a tragedy no one should go through
Feeling the pain and heartache
It's just overwhelming to know what to do!

The days, months and years go by
And the suffering just feels the same
No one talks about your child anymore
You just wish they would speak their name!

I know someone that won't let me go
He's had a hold on me for so long
He's my knight and shining armor
And He has kept me strong!

Strong enough to go forward on this journey
And trying not to look too far behind
Just hoping the Lord will bring healing someday
And peace and happiness I will find!

Sometimes this pain just feels so raw
It's heartbreak we all have to face
But I feel that oneday that'll change
And we'll be in a better place!
