Unknown Love Lost.
We crossed paths briefly in our lives,
Yet my thoughts of you stay forever.
The moments and hours spent, strives
To remain embedded, to be lost never.
You lived a life through war, had a family
Stayed humble from beginning to the end.
Years on, I wish I could still talk and see,
To laugh, be with you another weekend.
Your love for the family twinkled in your eyes,
In mere moments you captured my attention.
You told of childhood, of hardship and highs,
Children and grandchildren you did mention.
Twas a privilege to have met and be humbled
By your warmth, to embrace and be with you.
Our time together priceless, my world tumbled
When you left wherever winds of afterlife blew.
Unknown love lost, hastened by your demise,
Will never be realised, yet at times you’re here.
Moments together, memories behind my eyes
That to this day, silently release many a tear.
