Stranger
On the back porch while it rains
I was sitting there wearing my broken glasses.
Then I stood and started to jump into the fence like no one was watching.
And I saw this stranger, barefooted, dancing in a snow-covered grassland like a ballerina.

And after the gust of the blizzard, I approached her.
She rolls her eyes and smiles at me.
She took my hands and put mittens on them.
And I laced my fingers around hers and pretended to be her spouse.

She resembled the unadorned scent of my past relationship.
It's like my vision was like a whiteout without my glasses on, and
I was bewildered as she became cold and withered like a snow flower.
But she lifted up her toe to reach my lips, kissed it under the mistletoe, and vanished like a melting snowflake.

This is what happens when you fall in love with a total stranger.
You die in a snowy field with broken promises
