SWORN ALLEGIANCE

Peeled skin,
Circled by healed wounds.
New blood outlet,
Surrounded by scars.
My knees is an unpleasant sight,
Roughened by its allegiance.

My knees are sworn to my service,
Hit the ground when am weak.
Sworn to take a bend,
Pinned to the earth when I need the heavens.
Fall for no king or prince,
It knows my King.

It has become a reflection of my heart.
A mirror of my deepest sorrow.
Knows the solution to my pain.
Sacrifices pain for the Joy of the body.
Bows its allegiance to the Lamb.
Forgeting Pain, Receiving Grace.
