“The bitter consequences”

With everything that life has to offer,
There's so much to be enjoyed,
But the pleasures of sleeplessness I suffer,
Is the one I cannot avoid.
I pretend nothing is wrong,
For a fake smile I manage to put on,
My past was rougher,
My present is not yet smoother,
Every days and nights feel longer,
On my bed I try to feel safer,
But this never feels better,
Only makes me bitter!
These memories?
Regrets?
Pains?
Disappointments?
Betrayals?
Desires?
Perceptions ?
Will that one day come and turn my life lighter to something sweeter , an ever lasting peace and a lovely happy ever after?!
