A Warm Destination!
The death of a flower
The falling of leaves
The scurrying about
Of squirrels
The covering up
Of my arms
With sleeves.

Warm temperatures
Diminish
A gradule decline
Preparation
Being made
For what's coming
For none of us
Is experientially
Blind.

Furnaces running
Windows
Now closed
Slippers now worn
Bare feet
Seldom exposed.

Standing at the window
Snow covered ground
When viewing
Tree tops
Distant skys
Can only be found.

Imaginations wander
Remembering the days
Of going barefoot
In tall grasses
And at the beach
On warm sand
And water soaked
Clay.

Standing
At the shore line
Imagining at best
What it would be like
To be on a boat
Feeling the spray
Of the wave's
Broken crest.

Photos taken
Words written down
A few tokens
From nature
Aide in memories
As the closing
Of the eyes
Helps return
Longed for feelings
And natures
Authentic sounds.
