At night when I lay in bed,
As I drift towards my sleep,
When the eve becomes shadowy red,
My slumber has begun deep,
I think of you in my dreams,
I dream of us sitting under a tree,
Holding hands and
Counting the stars,
One, Two, Three,
I dream of us dancing in the moonlight and
You holding me tight,
an endless night.
When I wake up,
I know it will never be real,
Because you're gone forever,
And my heart sinks when I realize
it was all just a dream.
