My Shadow
When I walk alone on the road,
on a bright sunny day
I find myself sweating
in the sunlight.
Then I turn around,
to see any shop selling water bottles nearby
and then only
I find a black outline of mine
on the road.
The outline is exactly that of mine.
As if someone has painted,
an exact profile of mine in black
starting right from the point
where my shoes touch the ground.
Then only I realise,
that it's the shadow of mine
which follows me everywhere I go
and especially when I'm under the light.
