Serene Night
Do you remember?
Settling on a declined surface
Filled with grass
The illuminating moon,
Directly in our view
At night-time
Lying side by side
Staring through my heart
Two things I see,
My love and the moon
Holding unto the former
While admiring the latter
Spreading a tablecloth
Filled with food we ate little of
My vision, away from the sky
Now glaring into your eyes
Mesmerizing, they were
Indeed, there were sparkles
Birds chirping
Vehicles asleep
Stars filled the sky
In what looked like a constellation
So we gazed upon them
Till the clouds showed a sign
Drops of rain touching the earth
It drizzled, never reaching its peak
Covering us was a transparent tent
Enclosing us till we stood and said,
Let's have fun under the rain,
And thus we did
Amidst the cool weather
We walked and smiled
Holding each other,
Feeling the waterdrops
With our bare hands
Wishing time could take a pause
So we could abide therein forever
Eternity, it felt like
That night we were together
Neither of us
Wanting to let go of the other
My mind became so light,
Lying on you
My worries faded overnight
Incase you could not remember
Let's go back in time
Relive our memories
Sometime in late December
