There was once a baby black sheep,
One day she was excited to go on a trip.
With her siblings and with the whole family,
She feel secured and ready for the journey.

She prepared herself that night,
Combing her black hair with delight.
It's always her dream to see the outside sight,
Tommorow is my first time, can I do it right?

The day came which she was most excited about.
Mama, Papa! is this the day I too can go out?
Oh my darling we're afraid you can't come,
You're still not ready, please understand your Mom.

But baby black sheep cannot stand it anymore,
"How long do you think I can see the shore?
How long will you keep me from the world to explore?"
Then baby black sheep walk all the way to reach the door.

By the time she step her feet unto the ground,
She stopped because she hear the murmur sound,
She was cursed by everyone for disrespect,
Will she disobey her parents or is it the dream she'll protect?

Now baby black sheep is in the middle of making a decision,
Between two important things urgently needed an attention.
If she choose to obey her parents they would be glad,
But what about her dreams,she'll again be sad.

She turned around, looked at them and asked,
I want to know the reason for not given the task.
Then her parents said because we love you,
We don't want you to get hurt the moment you step out too.

But the more they explain the more she can't understand,
How could this be living if I cannot even know the land?
For one year you keep me inside,
Now it's my turn to live my own life.

She asked for their blessing but they had given her none,
She was marked as disrespectful sheep and an evil one.
But baby black sheep still continue to stand,
To reach her dream to see the shore and explore the land.
