One last wish
Over my flesh pale, lifeless,
I was looking down, hovering.
A feeling of such lightness,
washed away all my suffering.

Faces that I recognize stood,
there. Tears in their eyes, sparkling.
Words a few I'd like to speak,if I could,
to the ones around my body, encircling.

The one on my left, yes, you.
Check your phone there's a text unread from way back.
Back from weeks or months a few.
When I was set to give it up on the train track.

To the one on my right.
I remember our last fight,
On that cold December night,
Back when I could see some hope, some light.

So there's just one wish,last.
Stop crying and walk away.
Cause not one of you stood fast,
with me until I didn't lay,
here, a corpse, a cadaver.
All of you left, left me alone. However
not one of you cared, or stared, never.
Before I gave up, before I bid goodbye forever.
