The world that once called me a pauper,now regards me as power,
The world that once thought I was weak,now see me as their saviour,
The world that once trampled on me,now line up to pillow me,
The world that once spat me out,now gulps down my whole being,
The world that once deprived me of frocks,
now fills my closet to my amazement,
The world that once saw me as spendthrift,
now gazes at my investment,
The world that I once borrowed from,now
come to me for aid,
The world that once saw me as an outcast,
now regard me as family,
The world that once shooed me away,now has its arms wide open for me,
The world that once insulted me,now sings
praises for me,
The world that once clobbered me to near-death,now shields me from harm's way,
For the rising sun rose with glory,glory that changed my yesterday into my today.
