She says she loves me,
Never wants me to leave.
Tells me she needs me,
Wears her heart on her sleeve.

She says she hates me,
Wants me to go far away.
Tells me I'm worthless,
And is better than me any day.

She says she can't live without me,
I'm everything she needs.
It's all or nothing with her,
I'm the reason she breathes.

She says I disgust her,
Calls me the very worst names.
Not fit to be a mother,
Can't keep playing these games.

She says I look pretty,
When I try on a new dress.
Should be proud of my hard work,
Anyone would be impressed.

She says my legs are horrid,
And I can't go out in skirts.
Why have I bothered putting make up on?
Does she know how much it hurts?

I'm the sun in her sky,
I'm the moon in her night.
I'm everything she wants in a Mum,
Unless we have a fight.

It won't always be like this,
They tell me all the time.
One day she'll grow up and see,
And all will be just fine.

But the rollercoaster we are on,
Is getting harder for me to bear.
I'm clinging on by my fingernails,
Hoping they won't crack with wear.

Breathe in and out, ignore it all,
She knows not what she does.
It's not her fault, she can't help it,
It can't be like it once was.

She says she'll love me forever,
I'll be needed no matter what.
I'm also a monster, a demon, an ass,
My daughter says a lot.
