Hope
Endless highways of misdirected means,
To walk along the lonely street of dreams,
To live in a world where nothing is as it seems,
And take pursuit of pleasure to extremes.

My loving mother, in my memories laid bare
Stroking me gently, oh how she did care
Although, life, to her was anything but fair
Yet she left me, alone with no one else to bear.

My grief in the church cemetery, her new abode
As I made my way off to Hollywood
To pursue my dreams, for I understood
That if one can do it, then so I should.

While on the road I lay bare-chested to the side,
Weary from an unending 4 day stride
Maybe it wasn't to be, depressed, I cried
Was my fate destined to be so malafide?

No, negativity is what I should scorn,
For this is how a star is born
Success awaits me, how I yearn
Oh, I won't stop, till I'm reborn.
