Earthly possessions,
Rot and decay
Eventually, attachment brings dismay
Over time..
Wars have been fought
Lust has led to death..
The wrath of want is terrible.
Greed as well is quite treacherous.
I would love nothing more than to get by on just my basic needs.
Earthly possessions take up space.
They breed agony and pain..
After a while they lose their appeal.
Destroyed by an array of fashion,
Just to name a few fire and floods.
A lot of blood has been lost..
due to earthly possessions.
They've ruined relationships.
Brought on divorce..
Of course it's because of want..
But still..

Earthly possessions,
Have been worshiped
Have caused people to lose hours of their lives..
lies..
Life will get better after I achieve or buy the next big thing.
Instant gratification has caused people to lose patience and understanding.
Unethical decision making has been made because of earthly positions.
Families and Friends torn apart.
People have lost heart.
Much hate as well as debate.
