In the beginning, I was void,
My life torn , scattered , like pieces of paper, devoid!
Darkness and turmoil, my heart's only asteroid,
Hate,greed,envy, pride - all I couldn't avoid,
Life had no joy to be enjoyed.
Then from above, a whispered word, "love" it said,
I can't believe Love has found me,
In my filth, disbelief, Love walks to me instead,
He teaches me how to love by giving up His life,
His love is unconditional!He had a choice,yet I am His priority
A man who had never sinned payed the ultimate price for me with his own life,
Christ, my love story, Savior and guide,
His love has set me free,I have peace of mind
His love transforms me, His light by my side,
Love casting out fears, in Him, I confide,
This perfect love, in Him I abide,
I love Christ,my essence of life,
For He first loved me, my heart is open wide,
