Stepping into the Light
Given an opportunity to see what could be fate unfolding,
in this world offering little without something withholding.
Never offered for free and very seldom without sacrifice,
dependent if you're willing to pay the required price.
Although not promising riches or glory in any form,
filling my heart with satisfaction always to keep warm.
Even on the coldest night,when others huddle together,
able to stand alone against elements seeking to tether.
Causing confusion,though solutions are readily seen,
as people stop before a signal even though it's green.
Having clear vision about what's expected out of life,
although seen by some as resentment born of strife.
When just trying to avoid things which would inhibit,
and keep the road clear that stretches without limit.
Leading to a future where I'll find someone left behind,
and be joined once more with beauty that's ever kind.
