Everytime in darkness was my life
Always embroiled in skirmishes and strife
Bloody battles with guns and knife
Reserved for me was a hospital bed
Dangerous life I happily led
Never a day passed when body wasn't blood red
Met you when in ICU I lay
Nursed back to life with your loving care everyday
Your calm smile and attitude began to me please

My regular fights began to cease
