I want to grow like a tree
I want to grow like a tree,
I want to start my growth from the base like a tree,
A tree starts its growth by planting its roots in the soil so that a strong foundation for its goal is made.

I want to grow like a tree that rises through its stem,
Focusing on the light from the sun, knowing that the only direction to go is up, A tree like the Musizi tree in Uganda. A tree has no time to complain but survives with the water from the sky, air, light and space.

I want to grow like a tree because they never age. Their growth is continuous regardless of time, they remind me that living your life is all you have to do. They have no wrinkles and continue adapting to the environment.

I want to grow like a tree because they are not afraid to ask for help. A vanilla plant will lean onto a trustworthy neighbour knowing that its stems are soft so it requires strong support from another strong tree to make it achieve its growth.

I want to be like a tree because it never focuses on external disruptions like pests, bee hives and humid weather. A tree knows that the negative turbulence is temporary, A tree does not allow toxicity to wear out its nutrients, just like a cactus tree creates boundaries from external negativity using its thorns.

I want to be like a tree so that I can be resilient like a Thuja green giant. It grows continuously in every season and some trees grow within boulders and around obstacles. It is moist and hydrated inside hence making it beautiful.

I want to be like a tree so that l can be humble and silent in growth because I know that I am not invincible, death can come to me or I could be cut down and be no more.
