I'm sure you wouldn't of had a clue
So many of our memories were made
Any that were savable have began to fade

Give you all your praise due
Flirting with others on your phone
Caused me many nights crying alone

It's been a hell of year now that we are through
Resurrected my spirit , my soul rebuilt
From the past I'll suffer no guilt

You exited the stage right on queue
As a survivor I have regained my self esteem
My life now portrays like a fairy tale dream

With all I am now..I thank you
I truly now know.. your words were so untrue
Like a serpent's tongue.. Fire did spew
Now thirty years of redemption I'm due

I still remember the day you took my hand
Your commitment lost and buried deep in the sand
Faith, hope and love was our creed
Deception and despair was more your speed

Im still thanking you for everything
I've flown away with a broken wing
You saved me with your constant abuse
It made me want to set loose

I remember being thankful you for taking my hand
Hindsight showing : I should of tucked tail and ran
It was a lesson a had to unwillingly live
If ever my heart in was to unconditionally give

I'm ready to thank you
Make you someone I knew
I've found someone to love me in my heart
He loves me every good , bad , happy and sad part

So I'm saying goodbye to you
And all the past I knew
Then hello to tomorrow
Life truly begins at the end of sorrow
