Father of Lies
Bearer of Light
He who is blamed for everything

When hope dies
In the night
God's plan is not everything

Lucifer the guardian of hell
The serpent in the garden
He who gave humans a tell
Which chased us from Eden

Knowledge, Science Technology
Human ingenuity
The fruits of Eden
Forbidden

Lucifer is the morning star
Guiding in the dark
Lucifer is why there are cars
Medicine, skyscrapers, computers and arcs

Remember the next time we are told the devil shall damn us
For either it was God's plan for us to leave eden
Or we are supposed to be naked and stupid in His manicured garden
Lucifer did the one thing he was made to do for us

He showed us the light.
