It may seem my reality is a dream
Endless chases
Down endless roads,
Screams of cliff thrown babies,
I am far, yet... I am near
I sleep while I watch,
Suddenly I fall
and feel the impact,
Seconds seem like minutes
As I awake gasping for air.
I ask again, who are you,
Who are you that sits atop
My wardrobe,
All hunched and contorted,
Just sitting and staring,
Just......sitting.......and staring.
In the abyss of nothingness
Skeletons pile at my door,
Their disturbing knocks
Increasing in force,
As I hold the collar
Of the snarling war hound,
Unable to bear anymore
The door flys open with a snap
I awaken in the dead of night
And cry coagulated tears,
Anger and fear
repressed for years.
