Poetic Romance
Once upon a time
there lived a young man
who was a poet by heart
and a hermit by soul
He would sit in solitude
and pen down all his emotions
to simply let go
of all his troubles
as his ink would color pages
with a blend of grief and imagination.

People knew him as a young boy
surviving through his poetries and scars
caused by those he loved
wounds gifted to him
by people he believed in.
The boy who once
wrote poems that spoke of love
began to compose pieces
that gave disheartening memories
of his dark history.

The lively poet in him
suppressed by his tragic past
only wished to be set free
like the older times
when things were not rough.

Little did he know
what his destiny had in store
All those years of darkness
were only to step into
the brightest light possible.

It was after years of torment
that he met a poetess
with such beautiful thoughts
that he fell in love
not with her body
but her soul stirring words.

The way she interpreted things
and saw the world
left him so mesmerized
and so stunned
that before her face
it were her thoughts
that made him realize
who she truly was.

The way she wrote poetries
about her darkest chapters
as well as the brightest ones
with such softness and passion
inspired him to be who he is
and bring out what his happy heart offers.

The way she could
turn dead roses into
intoxicating perfume
and say a few words
to heal his deepest wounds
made him learn
that she was his healer
the one meant for him.

The way she saw him
as inspiration of her poetries
and appreciated anything that intrigued her
through her profound words
made him want to reunite
with his old self
and write poems on her
for hours, days and weeks.

It was her love
that breathed back life into his work.
It was her perspective
that regenerated light into his poems.

He was a poet
and so was she
but he wrote melancholic poems
and her work was jolly.

She wrote poems
as if she wanted to say
"look, my love,
this is what you used to portray,
why are you drowning in dismay?
this is who you've always been,
this is your fate."

He was lost and wounded
but it was when he found her
that he healed and found home.

Each time he looked at her
he thought to himself,
was it you?
the girl my soul longed for?
indeed, it was you,
who was destined to complete me.
All those years of emptiness
were indeed worth it
if only I knew
that they were for you
to cross paths with me
I would've taken all that pain
over and over again
for you are truly worth it all.

He was never trying to find her
yet they crossed paths
since it was their fate
and the divine universe
that played its part.

He was a poet
and she was a poetess
they met each other
in their darkest times
and created the most beautiful love poem
someone would ever read.
