To The Times That Lie Ahead
When the years have passed,
and we have grown old.
When the times have changed,
and we have uncovered,
everything we once thought,
the future beholds.
When the songs we once
danced our hearts out to,
have been labelled monotonous.
When the outfits we once wore
and felt like supermodels in,
have been labelled as dull, tedious
and lifeless pieces of clothes.
When the social media trends,
we once enthusiastically followed,
have become sources of giggles,
for the upcoming generations.
When the singers that once sang
the kind of songs,
that touched our young hearts,
and spoke to our souls,
have sadly passed away,
or grown too old,
to light our spirits on fire,
or spread light in our hearts,
the way they used to.
When our favorite actors,
who once ruled the theaters
and set them on fire,
as the audience cheered
and applauded their performance
have finally retired,
and sat in their homes,
to let their children take over
and carry their legacy forward.
When we miss,
being teenagers who,
lived their lives,
with dreams shining
in their eyes,
and hearts full of hope,
whilst being drenched,
in the elixir of youth.
When our children have become,
capable enough,
to build a family of their own,
and another generation,
for the cycle of such memories,
to placidly proceed.
When our schoolmates have aged,
and so have the people...
and we have grown old.
When the times have changed,
and we have uncovered,
everything we once thought,
the future beholds.
When the songs we once
