Horrified crowds rushing incessantly,
Just to be alive
they were running unceasingly.
People going crazy on street,
Bitting people, unhesitantly like meat.
This was abnormal,
Some even thought it's paranormal.
People were estranged,
Mentally they were deranged.

People on run,
Police armed with gun,
Everywhere: fire & smoke
People choked, some even got stroke.
Many lost the people they loved the most,
Saw them turn into undead ghost.
Whole city in chaos,
People forgetting humanitarian ethos.
Horrible sight,
Human existence in plight.

When people were trying to survive,
The bitten ones were turning into undead-dead yet alive,
As if they were carrying the lineage.
The way they sensed humans' presence was strange,
As if they have got ultrasonic powers!
As if they want human to devour,
As if their main motto was the extinction of human race.
If that's the case,
then they are on human chase.

Their eyes swallowen up,
As if they are about to pop.
Face and eyes turned into blood red,
Of the walking dead.
It seemed that their veins were about to burst,
Their eyes showed the unquenched thirst—
“Thirst for human blood”
This heart wrenching sight,
Depicted human plight.

The normal functioning of nature,they oppose,
The disease was contagious,I suppose.
This is just a sneak peak to the horror, that future holds for us.
These are just some glimpses of horror, that future holds for us.

The broad daylight woke me up!
I sighed-"Thank God! It's just a morning dream.”
My face and eyes gleamed.
But I was engulfed by an unknown fear when I recalled my grandma’s saying-“morning dreams do come true.”
I believed, her sayings were untrue.
Suddenly,loud voices were heard,
As if people are travelling in herd.
I opened my window & looked outside,
It's like my worst nightmare coming true.
Yes! It's the day of human plight.
Yes! It's the day of undead-dead yet alive!
