My Dear Poet
The poet,
Just a mere man,
Nothing special to the world—
But in my eyes,
He is a diamond in the rough.
"Never judge a book by its cover," they say,
Yet people still read the summary before buying it.
That’s how they see you,
An ordinary man at a glance.
My dear poet,
Your verses ignite my soul,
Inspire me to delve deeper into the wonders of poetry.
If only we were still in touch,
I would tell you how powerful your influence has been.
Fly high, my friend.
May your poems color people’s lives,
Bringing them joy and comfort—
My dearest poet.
