I don't know when
The cat and the mouse became natural enemies.
I don't know when they started
The cat and the rat
Could live together in peace
No more fighting with each other
And they didn't have to fight for food.

People and these two animals
Are quite similar
First, they fight for the space to live.
They fight to the death
For food.
Can kill each other without hesitation
Like cats and mice.

But it's still rare to see
That we can live together in harmony.
Life and death are always like an undercurrent.
Any brief pause between them
Is but a gasp of exhaustion...
