the days of slate and chalk
are not easy to erase
they hold memories
of my childhood,

the days of paper and boats
are not easy to sail
they remind me of rain
and puddles i jumped into

the days of letters and novels
are not easy to forget
they contain love
that i always want to cherish

the days of my life
are not easy to live
i ought to stand strong
to lift others up along with me!
