Nothing other than darkness could be seen,
In such a plight had the world never been.
It was a nightmare full of dread,
I woke up to find myself on the bed.

Walked out to see a world brighter than ever,
The chirping of birds and the blossoming of flowers didn't seem to endeavor.
The mankind out there didn't look mean,
I could not guess it was COVID-19.

For a while my mind surmised corona a provocation,
Soon I realized it was a false notion.
The way nature had looked up to this time, a chance to lift herself up,
Inspired me to let it become the scope of my backup.

Never knew this pandemic is a legislation for members of families to mingle,
For some moments of union with kinsfolk, for self limited bingle,
For going down the memory lane which has turned hazy,
For inciting a bit of creativity and going crazy.

My life had taken a turn and so had my thought,
Was fortunate enough to be blessed with a consolidation with God.
An obligation of prayer for corona warriors ran through my heart and I did it for me and them,
It undeniably inculcated in me what life really means and for ever prevented me from calling it just a gem.

Some times were spent in comfort while others in uneasiness,
Some nasty instances and few moments of sweetness,
Surely taught an incredible lesson, to be never overlooked,
Which headed its way saying - Opportunities are not found but they are to be searched.
